Fun 'til Midnight!

Last night was my first time to an L.A. Dodgers game. We took Ballerina Girl with us. We had a really good time. Ballerina Girl ate up all the fun and attention she was getting from Mommy and Daddy as well as all the food we got her. She downed a Dodger Dog, a Chocolate Malt Ice Cream, part of my pretzel and shared our sodas. By the time the fifth inning came she was done sitting still. It had been a long 5 innings and we had a fun so it was time to go. We got home late but it was worth it.

Disaster Averted!

Yay! Got the call today from the computer repair shop that the hard drive is ok and all the info on it can be backed up to another hard drive! The power supply is shot however and because it's a Dell and you can only get a Dell power supply for it, it would cost bookoo bucks to fix so we are foregoing the latter.

Thank you, Lord, for Your mercy and grace!

"It's the End of the World!!"

Ok so not quite the end of the world but close enough. When we came home on Tuesday our computer would not boot up. "Ok, Jennifer, don't panic. You just have all of the millions of pictures of the girls on there that you've never developed as well as all of your Bible study lessons and a myriad of other important things that of course you don't have backed up. I've changed my mind you can panic." So we were without our computer so what, it's only the brain of our families existence a box, we can deal with it. deep breath

We took it into a shop for a diagnoses. And we are still waiting for the call. Hopefully it won't be anything major. So how am I blogging you ask. Well, my honey has been wanting to get a laptop for some time now so after we took our giant and I do mean giant desktop in to the repair shop we went shopping. It was supposed to be window shopping and research, we went from Circuit City to Best Buy to Office Depot a couple of times found a laptop or notebook as some stores called them that looked like a good deal at all 3 stores. I called my Dad the computer genius in the family and asked him to take a look at them online since I was without a computer and could not do the research myself. We grabbed a bite to eat at In and Out Burger and while there my honey made the decision to buy the one we saw at Office Depot. again deep breath, Jennifer (I had just taught on meekness and being still, peaceable and undisturbed and how Sarah went along with Abrahams decision to lie about her being his wife TWICE because she trusted in God to take care of her.) So I found myself saying, "Whatever decision you make is the right one for our family." Now for anyone actually reading this I really mean that sure some people may think it says between the lines, "What do you think you're doing!?" but I really want to trust God with however he leads our family. And WALLA! instant laptop/notebook owners.

Thankfully later that night my Dad called back and said it was a good computer and couldn't find any cons (except for Windows Vista). So it's not quite the end of the world at least until I hear back from the fix-it shop an find out if I've lost all my data or not.

Happy Birthday Blue Eyes!

One year ago today you came into this world. I can hardly believe that an entire year has already gone by. You are growing up so quickly right before my eyes. It seems like just yesterday you were that newborn babe wrapped up so tight sleeping in my arms. Today you are that squirmy little one who has too much to see and do to sit still in my arms. I want to take a look back over this last year and watch you as you grow.

Happy Birthday, Blue Eyes!

A Wonderful Birthday and other things

Ok I know this has been a while in coming but it's been one week now since my Golden Birthday and it's time to fill in the details about all that went on.

On the day of my Golden Birthday (and for those of you that think I just turned 50 a Golden Birthday is one where you turn the same number as your birthdate. Example I turned 26 on March 26th) my wonderful honey was sick. Yay such fun! I started to get a yucky attitude about it but hey there was nothing he could do about it. He had already had someone ready to watch our little ones so that he could take me out for a birthday lunch so I kept that date and used it to go get my haircut. My hair really needed it. I love the lady who I've found to do my hair. Joy is such a "joy" LOL She does a wonderful job and I love her prices! My wonderful honey then would not let me go out by myself for lunch so he dragged himself out of bed and we picked up our little ones and went to lunch. It didn't last long though for he looked a little green around the gills still and Sissy was in much need of a nap.

Finally Thursday came and it really started! (Remember I said it had been declared "the week of Jennifer") We dropped the little ones off again and headed to a beautiful coastal town and stayed at a luxurious hotel (that charged us for parking!? don't get me started on that one) and had a wonderful time! We shopped til we dropped literally. My honey spoiled me rotten. Wherever I wanted to go and whatever I wanted to get or eat he made no bones about it. I'm so lucky! We had a really wonderful time and I so enjoy getting away with him once in a while.

We didn't get back home until the evening on Friday and we were tired. Blue Eyes was so thrilled to see me she didn't want anyone else to hold her but me. I loves her. She's so precious.

Today I got word of my last birthday present. It's from my parents. Ballerina Girl asked Grandma if she could get me rollerskates for my birthday so I could go skating with her (they bought her some for Christmas). My mom couldn't say no of course and she ordered some through Walmart and I must needs go and pick them up tomorrow. She actually bought roller skates. I was thinking of roller blades when I originally planted the idea in Ballerina Girl's head at Christmastime but we'll have fun no matter what.

*Sorry about the lack of pics. I couldn't find my camera before we left.
